At NeonTab, we believe that your digital workspace should be completely private. Your bookmarks, browser navigation habits, and workspace designs belong solely to you. We have engineered NeonTab with a local-first, serverless architecture so that your personal data never leaves your device.
Your bookmarks, workspaces, and layouts are stored strictly on your local machine.
We operate no remote sync servers, tracking APIs, or databases to gather your private data.
Payments are fully handled by Dodo Payments, keeping credit card and bank details completely secure.
Unlike cloud-based bookmark managers, NeonTab does not transmit your private browsing or organizing data. The following items are kept entirely local and are never seen, collected, or stored by us:
To function securely as a browser workspace, NeonTab requests a minimal set of sandboxed Chrome extension permissions. Here is why we need them:
Allows the extension to read and write your bookmarks, workspace profiles, custom accent colors, and base64-encoded wallpaper designs. The unlimited storage permission ensures larger custom image uploads do not fail due to browser size caps.
Used exclusively to support the native "Import from Chrome" action. The extension reads your browser's existing bookmark library and migrates it into the local sandboxed database only when explicitly triggered by you.
Required exclusively by the extension popup menu. When you click the NeonTab toolbar icon, it queries the active tab's title and URL so it can pre-fill the "Add Bookmark" form automatically for you.
NeonTab Pro licenses are managed using Dodo Payments.
We are strongly opposed to third-party data tracking. Neither the NeonTab browser extension nor the landing website contains invasive advertising networks, cookies, or user tracking SDKs. You are completely free to enjoy your web workspace in total solitude.
Because your data resides entirely on your computer, you have total control over its retention. You can immediately wipe all data, settings, and workspaces by uninstalling the NeonTab extension from your browser, or by clicking the native "Empty Trash" button inside the extension's trash panel.
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our extension permissions or updates regarding our billing integrations. Any changes will be posted directly to this URL.
